Your Hope Here

Common Questions

Have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing –Wayne Dyer

Beginning therapy often comes with questions—and that’s a good thing.

At Your Hope Here, I want you to feel comfortable and informed as you consider this step in your healing journey. This page offers answers to some of the most common questions clients ask. My hope is that it gives you a sense of how I work, what you can expect, and how therapy can support you in rediscovering hope, resilience, and wholeness across Mind, Body, and Spirit.

What is your approach to therapy?
I believe healing is most powerful when it honors the whole person—Mind, Body, and Spirit. My work blends evidence-based psychotherapy with a gentle openness to spiritual exploration, offering clients practical tools for emotional balance, physical well-being, and deeper meaning in life.

What kinds of issues do you work with?
I support clients with a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, depression, and trauma
  • Life transitions and relationship challenges
  • Addiction recovery and relapse prevention
  • Stress management and mindfulness practices
  • Exploring meaning, values, and spiritual growth

Do you still work with addiction recovery?
Yes. Addiction recovery remains an important part of my practice, but it is now integrated into a broader framework of holistic healing. Recovery is not only about overcoming substance use—it’s about rediscovering resilience, hope, and connection across all areas of life.

How do sessions work?
Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. We may focus on practical strategies, explore lifestyle and wellness practices, or reflect on deeper spiritual questions—depending on what feels most supportive for you.

What does “spiritual integration” mean in therapy?
Spiritual integration is always optional and client-led. For those who are interested, I draw on insights from my 13 years of study in A Course in Miracles to explore themes of forgiveness, inner peace, and purpose. This is offered as a supportive lens, never a requirement.

Do I need to be spiritual to work with you?
Not at all. Many clients prefer a purely psychological focus, while others welcome spiritual integration. My role is to meet you where you are and provide a safe, supportive space for your healing journey.

Where do you practice?
I am licensed to provide therapy in California and Colorado; I offer telehealth sessions only at this time. This allows flexibility for clients across different locations.
